Why Cannabis sativa respond to the light spectrum?

When growing outdoors in the sun, the received spectrum actually provides cannabis plants with a lot of information about what is happening in the surrounding world. In spring and summer, more blue spectrum reaches the surface.

In summer, the cannabis responds to this bright direct light (with a lot of blue light), suggesting that it has many large leaves and short stems growing without nutrition. The plant tries to spread as much as it can and increase the quality of its leaves.

Blue light, cannabis grow light with a higher blue light ratio, is often used for plant growth because they tend to make cannabis plants short and strong and have healthy large leaves.

As autumn approaches, more light reaching plants falls into the red spectrum. More light in the red part of the spectrum indicates that cannabis are about to end summer and it’s time to adapt before winter. When the cannabis hemp plant is exposed to a higher proportion of red light, it will respond by growing longer stems and leaving more space between the leaves, and grow as high as possible into the best state to start germination and wind pollination!

Yellow / red light – often with a large number of red growth lights during flowering period to encourage cannabis to grow (extend) and help to sprout. Under red light, plants may enter flowering faster than under blue light.

If you want to make plants short and Multifoliate, it is recommended to use more blue spectral components of plant growth lights. By switching the plant to flowering, you can switch the light to marijuana, which likes more red and orange parts during flowering.

The cannabis plant needs stronger light, at least some red and blue, for it to grow normally. However, different plants need different spectrum.

Light is an important factor in the growth of marijuana, so when growing marijuana indoors, because there is no sunshine, the plant grow light is very important, especially the LED grow lights. In the LED grow light, the spectrum is the top priority.
