What is the best grow light for the vegetation cycle of cannabis plants?
In general, strong blue light is obviously more suitable for plant growth, while strong red light is more suitable for flowering. But this does not mean that plants do not need more red light during vegetative growth, or do not need more blue light during flowering.
In any garden, the vegetative stage is the basis for successful flowering or flowering stage. After all, it is in the vegetative growth stage that most of the roots are created and the structure of the plant (the spacing between branches and the strength of the overall stem) is established.
The vegetative phase of growth is so critically important for your cannabis plant’s future yields. This is the phase where the plant develops its physical structure.
Any white growth light with a spectrum of 4000K or 3500K will let you go through the seedling and vegetative growth stage. If necessary, Kelvin temperature higher than 4000K can also be selected.
Most growers agree that for young plants through the veg stage of growth you will want to have a light source with a good amount of blue light or even white (full spectrum) lighting. The main reason for this is to reduce internode stretching to produce a stockier, healthier plant. We recommend that Full spectrum led grow light.
When marijuana plants are in the vegetative stage, keep them under a minimum of 18 hours of growing light (also known as 18/6). But if you are one of those growers that would like their plant to grow as big as possible, then you may keep them under 24 hour (24/0) indoor light.
