Effect of LED Grow Light on plants growth and development – photosynthesis
Light is a kind of energy. Led grow lamp is the energy source for indoor plant growth. Under the irradiation of LED grow lighting, plants produce organic matter through photosynthesis to provide energy for plant growth and development and other substances required for partial growth.
For indoor plants, light is the most basic and important member. Led grow lights emit a spectrum dominated by red and blue light according to the needs of plants for photosynthesis, which affects the formation and working efficiency of plant chloroplasts, as well as the activation of this enzyme and the opening degree of plant stomata.
If there is not enough light for plants to assimilate carbon, it will eventually affect the light supplement of plants due to insufficient light.
There are many factors affecting plant growth and development, mainly including light, air composition, temperature, moisture and so on. Light plays a very important role in plants. From seed germination to seedling growth, to thriving growth and adorable fruit, every stage requires light participation. LED plant growth lamps can help plants grow away from natural disasters and grow healthily according to different plant growth stages and different light needs.
The light emitted by LED grow light is the best energy source for photosynthesis of indoor plants. Photosynthesis is divided into two stages: light reaction and dark reaction:
In the light reaction stage, plants use the light energy of LED plant lamp to produce ATP and NADPH;
In the dark reaction stage, chloroplasts assimilate CO2 to synthesize carbohydrates by using NADPH and ATP produced by light reaction.
Photosynthesis has a very large relationship with light intensity. Within a certain range, photosynthesis rate increases with the increase of light intensity provided by LED growth lamps. When the intensity of light is greater than that of plant light saturation point, photosynthesis rate does not increase.
Plant germination, rhizome growth, leaf development, chlorophyll formation, flowering and fruit setting all need the participation of light!
