Change the lighting schedule: if you are overheated at a specific time of day, you can change the lighting schedule so that you can turn off the growth lights at the hottest days of the day. For example, during the nutritional phase, your plant needs more than 18 hours of light a day. If it’s too hot at noon, you can set a timer to turn off the lights for 6 hours at that time of the day. This strategy can help alleviate the symptoms of heat stress during short heat periods or heat waves.

Air conditioning or evaporative cooler: if you have good air exchange and try all the above steps, but the temperature in the planting area is still too high, you need to use equipment that can reduce the air temperature.

Air conditioning – (some are portable, some can be placed in your window) – in addition to cooling the air, air conditioning also reduces the relative humidity of the air. In order to be effective, the air conditioning must be able to discharge hot air outside the house, just like a heat growth lamp. If the air outside the planting tent is too hot, you need to use the air conditioner for pre cooling before the air enters the planting tent. No matter how powerful your exhaust system is, it cannot keep the temperature below your ambient room temperature. If you need to lower the ambient temperature, you will need a way to cool the air, and air conditioning is undoubtedly the most effective way to cool the air.
